ERA European Research Area

The ERA strives to abolish frontiers in research and wants to foster the research exchange across all European countries and not just the EU’s member states. Again, the ERA’s goal is to create an "internal market for research" in which researchers, knowledge and technologies can move freely.

Further, they strive for a better coordination of national research policies to increase the effectiveness of national research systems.
